Hello

I'm searching the web for a luggage rack that will fit my 2002 Monster 750 dark ie.
It seems it is impossible to find any solution that will allow for a rack behind the seat. I want a solution that will make it possible to have a passenger as well as the luggage.

Does anyone have a link to somewhere I can order something that will work?

By the way, this is my first Ducati:)

Thanks

The thing is, it's registered as a 2002, but when I check the chassisnumber it says its a 2001, so I'm not sure if it will fit

It was likely produced in '01 as an '02 model.

That said, I don't think there's enough difference in any of the M 750 frames to make it not fit.

I'd add...if it's an IE model it's an '02.

Please remember, ALWAYS tighten and bring a tool to re-tighten the double nuts. Even better, get spares before you need them.

Will remember that Cool

The bolts on the rack I suppose? Or do the bolts holding the L-rack onto the frame need to be retightened?

The nuts which secure the bag rack to the L-brackets  waytogo  I remember a friend telling me about picking up the pieces after his 40 liter Ventura bag hit the ground at high speed. That's how he found out and why I know.

He's referring to the double nuts that secure the vertical, top portion of the ventura rack/frame to the rest of the rest of the ventura frame that attaches to the motorcycle frame (sorry for the long sentence).  The tool is a long, skinny dowel pin.  I keep in on the key chain just in case.
Ventura has different rack options that can be easily swapped out.

As for 01 vs 02, there is enough of a difference that a ventura frame for an 02 would need to be modified for an early bike.  Difference is in the number and location of mounting holes for the "beer tray" behind the tail light.

But as Nate already stated, an IE is definitely an 02 frame.
