Life's circumstances mean that it's not always possible for Team Ungeheuer to take a trip away together for more than a few days.  But September 24 TU Pillion-in-a-million had a window open up which released her from commitments.

So, we took the opportunity to make a Tour de France Cool

But look away now if you're hoping to see Ducati content.

Le journey starts at the channel tunnel under the sea between UK & France...

Once on the Wrong Side of the Road we headed towards Le Mont Saint-Michel & set up camp for a few days...

Le Mont Saint-Michel dates back to 1023, which y'know..... is goin' back a few years...

to be continued....

I couldn't be in northern France without a visit to the beaches of the Normandy coast.

Omaha Beach, the WWII D-Day landing area for US forces (think Saving Private Ryan) and to the nearby Normandy American Cemetery.  This day was always going to be sombre.  I wasn't entirely prepared for the accompanying emotion at such vast waste of young life....

Think the French don't remember or honour the past and those who came so far to liberate them?  Just take a look at the flags in the local streets...

Acres of these small white crosses....   Cry

A lighter end to the day... Dinner at the fun & quirky Les Grands Vilains Restaurant in Granville, hosted by these two lively dudes...

Been there (a long time ago).  They certainly do. It was also during the Tour de France.  Major cheering on for the American bicyclist Greg Lemond.

Have a great time.    Doh!  September 2024.  Wish I was there anyway.

Today's moto ride is to ye olde picturesque town of Dinan & back via St. Malo.... black skies, spectacular lightening & torrential rain on the way back made riding.... interesting  Cool

Motorcycle with white wall tires?
