Was chuckling at the previous "DMF consensus" comment.  Shoulda included that.

Sorry to disappoint.  However the guy's post on the bike indicates sold so I'm glad for him.

I think I saw that bike on Facebook Marketplace, sounds like we're near each other.  The paint job I could have handled but honestly the cafe conversion seemed pretty half-assed - I've never thought that the angles of the Monster were particularly conducive to a cafe conversion and like many attempts at cafe-ing the Monster that seat seemed like it was just stuck on there with minimal effort to shape it toward the frame and give it a proper cafe racer look.

I've got a 2000 M750 and while I haven't really pushed it hard I've found it to be a generally reliable machine.  There's a pretty stock yellow M750 with 15k miles down in Colorado Springs for $3k if that's where you want to stay.

Thanks for the added commentary on that "cafe racer". I'm not heartbroken that it's not in my garage (and I'm not a Miami Dolphins fan either).   Wink

Traditional monster design would've been preferred but the almost near price-point and the fact that the best shop around worked on it made it a contender.

As I told the seller after getting a longer recovery prognosis than planned with a foot injury, I can't justify spending the $ just yet. Hope springs eternal so I'm banking on being able to shop around again in the not too distant future.   Dolph

I do appreciate the comments on the quality of work at Boulder Motorsports.  I just toted my Monster up to them to get it serviced and back in fighting trim after about 10 years of collecting dust.  I had a list of things I knew needed done but they were able to call out a few other items that needed attention.
