WTF is that in the road?

Last year I was driving home from work, following a pickup from a landscape company. As he went over a set of RR tracks, everything in the bed jumped into the air, and a wheelbarrow fell out, and bounced along the road, andembedded itself into the grill of my van. The driver hit his brakes, and I thought he was going to stop, then he sped up, and took off!
Stupid. He had the name and # of his business printed all over the truck, and he had the business name stencilled on the handle of the wheelbarrow. How he thought he was going to skip out on the accident, I'll never understand.

I whipped out my cell, and called him, and he actually answered. I told him to turn around and come back, or my next call was to the cops, and that an insurance claim beats a hit and run any day.
