Was a fun day.

240 miles might have been a bit much to kick off the season for these old bones, however.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Great day.  Nice to meet some more folks.  Really enjoyed the riding and the company.  Can't wait for the next one!

Anybody get out this weekend ?   I rode yesterday for the first time in a month, have been suffering with some health issues. Still pretty sore but it felt good to get out, hopefully do a group ride soon.    [moto]   [moto]

I rode a little yesterday.  I was going to go up Ute Pass, but it was around 4:30 and all the RV's and boats were coming back down so I realized it wouldn't be as fun on the way out.  I went through the Garden of the Gods both ways and enjoyed that.   It was a beautiful day.  Maybe an after work ride is in order for this week.

John is on his annual New Mexico trip but I rode around town & up thru Helen Hunt Falls yesterday. I was on a Scavenger Hunt for another forum!    8)

I am going to say yes to that for now, but there are some variables that could interfere.  As the weekend gets closer, I will know better if I can make it.  Hope some others out there can join you for sure.

KRJ - glad to hear you're up to riding again...looks like it's going to be an awesome weekend for a ride.  Wish I could go...family and other commitments will keep the bike in the garage however.  Be safe everyone and enjoy.

It was a great weekend for riding, if you don't mind the occasional 60 mile an hour windgusts.  The SoCO DOGs had an impromptu get-together on Sunday which wound up being a good ride to Bishop's Castle and then back through Texas Creek with a stop in Canon City to see KRJ.  Check the Sunday Mornings at Montague's for pictures if you'd like.

Then yesterday, Dusty and I decided to ride down and check out the MRA races at PPIR.  We were extremely happy to find Scott (Munch) was racing that day, along with Peter, another acquaintance of Dusty's.  What a great day it was, mulling around the pits, watching race after race.  The wind was really kicking all day.

We ought to keep an eye on the schedule and get the gang together once in a while for these events.  It sure was fun running into new and old friends.

Here are some highlights from the day:

There is Munch with his bike:

Our bikes along with some new friends from Denver down to watch:

Stormin' Norman with his racing Monster:

There is Munch in the line-up:

Here is a quick blip of him coming through the infield before hitting the straightaway:

Woohoo!!!  Loads of fun!  Thanks for posting those, Bonfy.  [clap]  [popcorn]

Nice to meet some of the Denver Eurotrash group too!   [thumbsup]

Munch

Sweet vids!! Thanks again for coming out, it's awesome when friends come out n enjoy the day! We'll need to coordinate a better time of arrival so lunch is ready :)

I ran my first endurance that day. I think I convinced myself before the race I'd ikely not finish. Between the heat and the wind, it was tough :) Myleft ass cheek is still sore  ;D

From 36th on the grid, I managed a 21st place finish.

HPR in three weeks!

bonfy

You were definitely putting in some hot laps out there.  God, it was a blast to watch.  Be sure to post up some info about HPR when the time gets here.  I am putting it on the calendar.  What a great destination for a ride (hint, hint SoCO DOGs)!  And Munch grills a mean cheeseburger (thanks for feeding us, or at least me).  Hope Peter did well in his race on Sunday.  We were going to stop back through after the ride to Bishop's Castle, but it got late on us.

Fighting hard to stay at work today, the Shop is empty as the Crew is working 4 / 10's in this slow economy, most other corporate employees have taken the day off. I'm sitting at My desk, doing some estimates, checking time sheets and job costing reports, thinking very strongly of gearing up for the Ride, hit the DMF site and confirm My lack of work Ethic.   I have a couple of parts to make for the KZ1000 Cafe' project, that could occupy My mind for a couple hours, than it would appear I have at least made an effort to stay at work...Ok, I will at least finish the weeks payroll reports and turn in time, then work on KZ parts till at least noon, then SCREW IT!!!....I'M RIDING.  Will be in the Springs about 1:30, if Anyone is up for a ride hollar....
