That's terrible!  Makes you think though?  What would any of us done when confronted with the same circumstances?  Rider education and training - dealing with the unusual / unexpected - gotta be key.

I'm scheduled straight through the weekend, but not till 2PM on Sunday.  Will anyone be out and about Sunday AM?  I'm going to have to play it by ear.  I have another ferret with a medical situation that may keep me close to home.  Just seeing where folks may be riding in case I feel I can get away.

Shannon and I got out for a short ride on Sat.  Roads were crap, lots of debris and pot holes etc.  Still had a nice tour close to home.

Glad you did...I started the Monster a couple weeks ago myself, but with the crisp weather we were having, didn't pull him out of the garage.  This is dreadful.  I am watching my mileage records slip away as I reside in Colorado.  I'm going to have some serious makeup mileage to rack the day the ice breaks.   [moto]  Who's going to Salt Lake City with me and Lance this season?

raises hand in the corner!  pick me to go! oooh pick me!!

I went out for a ride around town yesterday, but besides that, the bikes are locked up for winter.  Too much sand and crap to do any real riding.

But, I guess that means its wrenching season!   waytogo

the SC is complete (for now).  Street legal and ready to go  waytogo

Pulling the forks from the monster to send to Traxxion Dynamics for a little TLC to match the SC forks.  New seats are back from pregnant dogin Stitchin for both bikes and look great!

Found a guy (thanks Munch!!) who had a Handy lift he was all but giving away, so my life just got even easier.

Good Morning All,    weather looking pretty good around here, I'm gonna get My chores done and go for a little ride this afternoon, prolly not far, but I gotta ride somewhere. If it's not the Duc, then the XR over the grade to Westcliffe is on. Hopefully have time for both...Anyone else riding this weekend ?? [moto]

Couldn't ride yesterday due to work, but tomorrow I may get out later in the afternoon.  Haven't been to bed yet so I foresee a late arising.  Also, have to deal with a car issue.  I'm off for the next three days though so I may get a ride in on one of those if the weather holds.  I sure miss the Sunday morning get-togethers at Montague's.

Finally managed to make it out Saturday afternoon. Gorgeous riding in the city... unfortunately by 4pm heading up to Woodland Park turned into a chilly ride as the temp dropped 20 degrees... Now I've developed a need for supplies. Any suggestions for local parts and supplies? I.e. best place locally for oil and oil filters or is online still going to be the best bet?

Smitch or KRJ need to jump in on this one.  I am physically unable to pass over the threshold of a Harley Davidson shop  vomit so I get all my parts from PJ's in Albuquerque still.  My mechanical/maintenance issues are all handled by my son (Scottish on this board) who lives down there so I haven't had to look elsewhere since the shop on 21st Street merged with HD.  I would be heading for Fay Meyers in Denver if I needed something ASAP.  I have been able to get a few universal things from Apex.

I got out for a couple hours on sat. felt good to ride altho too cold and dirty to go far, Fremont county and D.O.T. are conserving the chloride de-icer so they sand the hell outta the place. Gonna take a while this spring to clear out.  as far as parts and pieces, I've been ordering all mine, if I'm in Denver I'll stop and grab stuff. Havn't used any shops there yet, but the Locals on the MHM board can help there, just hollar....
