I have received my sexy set of termis from fast by ferracci, only took a week from US!

anywho, I have no coin left to pay a workshop to install the gear for at least a few weeks. most places want about $300 to do it. Doesn't look that intensely hard to me, but I have very little in the way of tools or mechanical experience when working on bikes.

Is there anyone who could help me out with the install for an hour or so one fri / sat / sun round sydney? I am in pyrmont.

I need to get the zorst, ecu, filter and airbox in (its not a full system, no cat replacement pipe yet). I also have a clutch cover and plate to install that arrived today :)

Box of beer or spirit of choice for anyone willing to help a broke newbie with modding his new duci?

thanks in advance guys - I will see all you syd siders tomorrow on the ride.

I was just going to say the same thing  Bazz, but that seems to be alittle long to wait for a job like this .

If you want Kursed you can come to my place on the weekend, seems that all the others will be out enjoying them selves im home baby sitting we can fit them if you can get them over .other wise even this afternoon in my shop.

By the way kursed did the P/plate come with the bearing installed or do you need to use your existion one ???
If I wasn't who i was, I wouldn't be who I am !

Is it likely to require a tune? I recently posted on the main board a similar question, Full system requires tuning.
'08 S4RS Tri, '02 VOR En450, MV Agusta F4 Tracky, Ducati 900 Darmah.

Yep, if it was just exhaust, that's just a bolt on.

But ECU etc etc, you'll need it tooned.

Have you tried Gowanloch or Flywheels?

orr shit really? I thought it would all be sorted since the ecu changed up the fuel flow etc to suit the new pipes.
I need some expert opinions on this...

I am booked in for flywheels next week but they wanted $300 to do it :( Bit much for me at the mo after forking out a zillion dollars on a new bike and the termi system. If I got it installed DIY and then took it to a shop for a tune, would I hurt it if I had to ride it inbetween for a few days?

IMO I don’t think you need to do any thing just plug and play, as you are not removing the udder .Yeh maybe if you did a full sys TPS would need tweaking and she would lean out abit .

I have done DIY on all of my systems and never needed tweaking the fact you have bought the corresponding ecu should and more than likely will sort it. My 2 cents

my 2 cents looks like this:

It'll run like crap, but flywheels will make it sing. Still do it with Dock and ride it over to flywheels - just treat her nice.

I installed Termis onto my m1000s (same engine) with the same setup (ecu, exhaust, airbox, filter) and it ran like crap until Brad Black did his 'Ducati Whispering' routine with her, now she sings and growls and bites and barks - she's frickin gorgeous! (enough typing - I'm going for a ride!)  [thumbsup]

so...

install, be proud, then take to flywheels.

it should really be fine, the kit that he has, is a pair of slip-ons, K&N filter and ecu, so the ecu will be matched to the pipes and filter set up. at the most a throttle body balance and a re set of the idle should be it. and it's only about an hours work to do the lot, including the pressure plate and cover so $300 seems a bit steep to me.

Nah.

I think when Lil got her Termi's, Zee hacked at the rear sets to get 'em in.

Butcher. :P

Zee

Hey, I was under instruction to "Make it so"! She even had black nail polish to cover hide the aluminium! Though, black nail polish does go kind blue over time, I have discovered.
