(not that I'm in the market for another monster anyway, so my opinions don't really matter, now if the new street triple comes out with a suspension upgrade like the 675 daynmas are rumoured to, that'd make choosing between a speed triple and a street triple pretty hard!)

See! I'm not the only one who has a thing for a Triple.  mo:t:

He is only asking how you are to get you ready for the inevitable - "sorry there has been a delay....."

He has already told me of the delay bumped it to December Huh?

But i guess the wait will be well worth it  wt:

Going purely off capacity there is a little misleading - the 675 motor in the street triple makes 107hp (claimed), not much short of double what the 620 makes, it's really somewhere between a 1000 and an S4 Monster rather than a competitor to a 620.

That said, owning two naked bikes is apparently considered "strange" by some people  Grin

You of all people should know Big that its not the size of the motor that counts Huh?
its the size of the blood vessel that connects your family joules to your heart that counts   cheeky

I guess it's the car bloke in me still.
If I have a hatchback already and wanted another car why buy another hatch.....
One naked is great, maybe something else for a 2nd bike would be great too.  Huh? Huh?

yeah, I fully understand that, I'm pretty sure my garage needs a track bike (preferably a 748, sensibly a late model japanese 600), a dirt bike (possibly two, a crazy 450 'crosser and a big outback tourer like an XT650 to do _long_ desert trips), a supermotard, and a powercruiser (maybe a Harley with a Porche motor, maybe one of those new 'busa engined Suzuki BKings).

So including my Monster and my Spada, and the possible Triumph, I reckon I could stop at maybe 7 or 8 bikes...

big (Oh, hang on, I need a dirt tracker too, and a super cool cafe racer, and a balls-out literbike, and a turbo busa!)

You know when I was winning the Oz Lotto last week my list was about that long.
Wife couldn't understand why I'd need 7-8 bikes.

Oz Lotto list was

848 or 1098
Speed Triple
Deus cafe racer
Tourer maybe BMW
KTM traily
KTM Super Duke II
MV Augusta of course.

But really I'd be happy if I got an 848 next.

looking @ the pics - i don't like it. to me it looks too complicated, kind of confused. bit of brutale in it as well. the tank looks too big and too chunky, the whole bike looks too heavy.........like the headlight though (on its own)

ps
i'm talking about 696

there's a girl who is selling her 748, asking 15K for it, don't know the details but can find out if you - or any one else - is interested
