I might have an alternative for you to the TPO Beast and relocator kit.

I didn't do the beast but I did do a pod kit install and rectifier relocation.  I could share my notes, etc.  It's a lot less expensive.

Hey Mo, that Barnett clutch pack... are those aluminum plates & basket, or the stock-replacement steel?  What about the pressure plate, is that any kind of blingy aftermarket one?

I'm looking for an excuse to mod the clutch on the SS... it's getting grabby (probably just needs cleaned and inspected...but I could use an excuse to mod it).

I hear it is a serious pain in the ass to mod a wet clutch into a dry one... unless you just want to duct tape a tamborine to the side of your engine for the rattling noise. Let the bible vulture get his clutch.  applause

Last time I checked with Stu, it was around $1000 to change a wet clutch to a dry.  I just made the assumption (based on the original post) that it'd be pretty low on your priority list.  (I wouldn't have asked if I knew you had a dry clutch... not tryin' to steal parts out from under anybody)

So yeah... guess I am a vulture, swooping in on unneeded parts.  Wink

Yeah I talked with him about it

got about the same price

and an extensive parts list

but

I just don't see why it has to be that involved

I would think all you need is to change out the clutch-side cover from a 1000ds and get a dry clutch and you should be good

its an aluminum clutch basket, and pressure plate for sure, I need to check on clutch plates, I would think they are steel (more durable for this purpose then aluminum) but will need to check when I get home.

I think the pressure plate is anodized red too.  Smiley
