Dave it is nice to hear that Redline was nice to you. I have to admit that I disagree with you on the white color. IMHO there isn't a sweeter color than that pearl white. Everytime I see it I get a little wet spot. When you are going down the street and you see a red Duc you have to look really hard to make it out. Ain't no mistaking that pearl though. Once again just MHO.

I'm really not happy with these high mount GPR pipes I put on. I think I'm going back to stock. I may see if I can get the guys down at Big Al's to bend me a set of low mounts, or I may just put them up for sale.
The problem is lack of clearance between the rearset and swingarm, especially on the left side. I tried installing the supplied spacers, but that leaves the rearset bolts with about 4-5 threads into the female ends. Not nearly enough, and I don't want to damage the bike.
Just don't be surprised if I show up for Knotts island with a whisper instead of a roar.

Sorry, man,
I got an unscheduled couple hours today, and switched 'em back already.

Hey guys,
Fellow Ducati owner here saying hi. Not a Monster owner (had 2 in the past) but I currently ride a 999 and a FZ1. Moved into the Hampton Roads area in 2005 and its good to know that there are other Duc owners here.
I used to live in the DC metro area so I am still pretty connected with the MAD (Mid-Atlantic Duc owners) guys.....

Welcome Krisna.
Definitely come out of the ride sunday. I don't think we have set an official time/place, but I think we are assuming the following:
10:00, at the Exxon on the corner of Indian River and Lynhaven (not PA
)in VB. Riding out to Knotts island and back.
If you know any good local roads, please share the knowledge. I think most of us are using trial and error to find them.
I'm heading up to DC soon, so I might hit you up for some info if you don't mind.

...I'll join you guys one of these weekends. I've been here now over two years and have had a chance to pretty much explore the area. I have to say the Hampton Roads area SUCKS if you like twisty roads.
Knotts Island, Blackwater, Ballahack, Benefit are pretty much the only good roads in the area, in my opinion....and its just OK.
Lately, about once a month, my buddies and I would take the bikes up to WV to get some proper twisty roads.
....BUT, I'd love to ride with local DUC guys just to get to know more like minded folks....
...well, there are plenty of good roads right outside of the DC metro area. Plenty. Send me message with your email and I can direct you to pretty good roads.

You have to get her to ride with you
Tell her you want to show her what you love, and share it. GF's are BIG on sharing!
I'm on for Sunday. Yellow 620 Dave has to pass. My Harley buddy wants to, but probably won't (He has to find a babysitter for his kids-wife's out of town.).
Krisna, Welcome.
As I think you can tell, we're not real snobby about whether you ride a monster. Hope you can make the weekend trip, but if not, keep tuning in, we try to set up something every couple of weeks. We're also trying to set up a Busch Gardens meetup with the other areas (Richmond, D.C. Etc.) for August. Let us know when you set something up for WV, some of us might tag along.
