I might ride if I get off early enough.

I should be available in the afternoon.

I'm still home, 2 hour delay.  Should be enough time to swap to some studded tires.

Poe's Sunday.  I am going to call to make sure they are going to have it.  Weather looks good, though it may be cold that early.  I may wait until the last minute to make a go/no go call.

I'm In.  I just called, they are doing it.  Anyone else?

Will, I'll meet you out in Suffolk, where/when?  Remember it is daylight savings tonight.

I would have to be up in the D.C. area. The most beautiful weather imaginable, and I'm 200 miles away from my bike. God is laughing.

Nice ride up to Poe's this morning.  Every time I find that it is a little farther than I remember, but still a good time.  About 100 bikes there when I showed up.  Passed a red 696 on the way near the Richmond line.  Saw a Hyper, 3 ST's, Red 998, Yellow 748  Grin and passed a black monster w/ fly screen on the way out.  We should really try to get a monster/Duc ride up there in the next month or two before it gets too hot.

Will, kept an eye out for you but nothing.  Don't figure you could miss me if I rode by.

Did the five and dime with a buddy of mine today.  Crossed the James River Bridge and picked up 10 at Smithfield.  Rode to Hopwell with a couple of detours on the way to Fort Huger and the Chippokes Plant State Park. Slabbed the few miles to 5 and did the Richmond Civil War battlefields and forts.  After lunch in Richmond, took 5 to the colonial parkway. Had a nice pace going on 5 for about 10 miles, then ran into a couple of Harley riders who were putting along with cars stacked behind them.  bang head  Nonetheless, a beautiful day and a great ride--just under 250 miles.

Hey everyone.  I just wanted to introduce myself.  I'm Jeff and I'm in VA Beach.  I've got an 07 S2R1k that I've just finished fixing back up after someone decided to knock her over in DC.  This weekend was gorgeous, I wish I had thought to check the board and meet up for a ride, as I was a lonely Ducati surrounded by hogs all weekend long Roll Eyes.

Hopefully this weather holds.  I love not freezing on the ride to work.

Jeff, welcome,
I'm a Jeff too, now we'll end up with nicknames when people talk behind our backs. laughingdp laughingdp
Dave, a Poe's ride sounds good, maybe I'll actually be in town for it.
Mike, sounds like a great trip.
Kris, where you at? Fixed the bike yet?

If anyone's planning on going to Natural Bridge the first week of May, Let me know so I can coordinate hotel rooms, etc. I'm looking at this place: www.naturalbridgeva.com/hotel.html but I haven't reserved anything yet.
Thanks.

Mike, sounds like we hit the same roads.  I took 10 out of Suffolk, Crossed over on jordan Point road to 5, had breakfast at Poe's and took the same way back.  Took a quick stop at Bacon's Castle to take a look.  bacon

New Jeff, welcome.  We will probably have more rides as it warms up.  Hopefully this warmer weather will start to hold.  Hope to see you out there.

Old Jeff, we'll stick with that nickname for now.  Count me in for the Natural Bridge trip.  Just let me know where to make reservations.  I'll pull out a map and try to find some of the old roads I used to drive.

Not real sure about the "old" part of that appelation. laughingdp laughingdp
Check out the website and see if that hotel's acceptable. I saw some reviews that said it was kinda old fashioned. That could be good or bad, depending on your preferences, and whether the wife is going. At this point, I don't much care, as long as it's a bed, a bathroom, and near some twisties. I wanna ride!
