damn, the only guy checking in doesn't even live in VA any more.

Got my letter of intent last week, looks like I'll be staying in CT for the next 3 years.  Lisa and the girls will probably be moving up after the new year.  IF (knock on wood) the weather is good next weekend, I will be riding down to visit.

Yep, you took off, and the whole place just. . . gave up. Hope to see you next weekend, I might even have my Duc back by then. It went into Redline for its well overdue 6000 mile valve adjustment. If not, I can still run Thumper. I hope the CT orders were what you wanted. If so, I'm glad for you.
Tell Lisa I have her pie pan, and that the pie was reeaaalll good! I can bring it or she can come get it, her choice.
Finally sold the Mini. I sold it to thin out my toybox, so why do I keep thinking about a Goldwing? Hello, my name is Jeff, and I'm an addict. laughingdp.
Good weather this weekend. I'm taking Margie and the neighbors up to the State fair Sunday. First stop - Bunnies!

Wow, I didn't realize my leaving would kill this thread.   Undecided  Come on, you guys have a lot of good riding left this year.  I think I will be done here in a few weeks.  Rode down from CT to VA Beach land back last weekend to visit the family.  Tried to get off of the beaten path for a while but it started to take to long.  Unfortunately, I was on the slab a lot more than I wanted.  Still better than driving and a lot cheaper on gas.  Though probably not overall in the long run.

Bun-Bun:  Too bad I left.  We could have knocked out that valve adjustment.  The monster is due again in another thousand miles.  My father always talked about getting a gold wing, scary.  CT is what I wanted for orders.  It will be a lot easier on Lisa and the girls to have family and friends around when I am out to sea.  Plus I am a damn Yankee at heart any way.

T'ain't dead - it's in hibernation!
I've been busy workin' (Thank god!), So has Kris, and I've been spending some time over at ADVrider, enjoying the XL.
Got the bike back last weekend, had the valves done, TPS reset, belts checked, throttle bodies cleaned, and they went thru the front end and straightened it (It was tweaked from the accident, it wasn't just me!). Rides like a whole 'nother animal now!
Just got Margie an Icon jacket, too. Maybe I can get her on a ride soon.
Crappy weather right now, but it's supposed to be nice next week.
Anyone wanna ride?

Hey gang!!! Sorry I have been gone so long. Starting up a company has really kicked my ass. I have to take the bike into redline this week as I have an oil leak somewhere. Did you get your bike back yet Jeff? If not we can go together. Let me know.

Lol...It is actually very busy and time consuming with very little pay...It's a job and I love it!!!!

I wish I could lie and tell you that I have been riding but it has been almost two weeks. The oil is coming out a little to rapidly for me to risk anything. I thought I was going to be able to ride to redline this week but I'm actually working at the office now. I'll try this weekend.

Any clue where the oil is coming from?
Didja check that your oil filter is tight?

It seems to be gathering by the neutral switch on the right side of the engine. It i right under the belt covers. Not exactly sure why or the exact point of origin.  Cry

Hey kids, anyone wanna go for a ride tomorrow?  I'm thinking about checking out the light rail project and then going out to some country area.

I'm taking a couple of friends riding down Blackwater rd/Pungo Ferry Rd/Princess Anne to the Knotts Island Ferry, then back up 168 thru Currituck.
We're leaving here about 11-11:30 AM.
You're welcome to join us. There is a gas station on the corner of Lynnhaven and Indian River Rd where we usually stop for fuel. You could meet us there, or meet at my house @ 11am.
If you PM me your cell#, I'll call you when we leave for the gas station.
Jeff
