Norwegian tour - just a few pictures
«

Hi guys - I had four great days on my bike, going up and down through the western parts of Norway.
Traffic is low in those parts of the country, so I really had fun. 900 miles of constant twisties [moto]
Norway has 7 out of the world's 10 highest waterfalls. This is not one of them.
Can you see the traffic? Not a car in sight for miles - vroom.
Troll-tindene. Up to about 4,000 feet free drop - paradize for base jumpers.
Trollstigen - a very heavy climb
One of the peaks up in between the glaciers - around 40 degrees F - but a great view

How are you of for gas stations in those parts?
There are small villages quite close to each other - built for only a handful of houses/farms, but they depend on gas being locally available so there's typically a combined grocery/pharmacy/post/gas pump shop in every village. Going back to eastern Norway (capitol Oslo) is over vast uninhabited mountain stretches. There might be no gas for more than 100 miles, so that requires some planning.
Our country is 1,700 miles long - with a population of about 4,5 million - you can imagine the distances between cities. [moto]

Thanks for the pics. I never knew that Norway was so mountainous.

It will cost you, but you know you're welcome
The greatest part is the lack of traffic [moto]

Our mountains aren't very high, but in the western and northern parts of the country they drop more or less straight down into the fjords or the ocean, creating a dramatic scenery and the need for twisties - vroom vroom

That's some fantastic scenery you have there, stopintime! Reminds me of the west coast of Canada - mountains dropping down into the ocean. A question about your bike: Those are Rizoma mirrors, correct? How are they mounted? It doesn't look like a normal mirror mount to me.

Rizoma Impulsive, yes. They are mounted on SW-Motech wideners from TwistedThrottle - listed for Yamaha. I did a review of this set up. I guess you'll find it by searching "wideners" or SW-Motech? They are now about an inch wider than stock, on each side. Very nice rear view, even around my 3XL body.

I had the same thought - could you think of a more spectacular way to go?
