Guys-

Doing a 10 France/Italy trip and have a pretty good idea of what I am bringing gearwise Vino!. But anybody already created a shortlist of "must have" essentials?

1. Summer AND Winter gear (mesh preferably)
2. Sunglasses
3. Second credit card
4. Extra break and clutch levers
5. Swim shorts
6. Space to bring back the best tasting cheese and hard sausages in the world  Vino!

Where exactly do you plan to go ?
Can you plot a route on google maps ?
Dont forget to keep us postet...with pics

do you plan on staying in hotels every night? Do you want to camp? It makes a big difference on what you bring.

Looking for tech gear ideas - Allens - socket - duc tape- etc.

Give this a go.  You can disassemble/repair your bike with a small amount of tools.  The rest really depends on what kind of weather you're expecting, how long the trip is, what kind of terrain, etc...

Hot and humid? Bring mesh stuff, but don't forget the rain gear.
Cold? gauntlet gloves.  Heated grips? Good shoes either way.
