Blue-footed Booby

The Blue-footed Booby (Sula nebouxii) is a bird in the Sulidae family which comprises ten species of long-winged seabirds.

The name “booby” comes from the Spanish term bobo, which means "Stupid". This is because the Blue-footed Booby is clumsy on the land. Like other seabirds, they can be very tame.[1]

The natural breeding habitat of the Blue-footed Booby is tropical and subtropical islands off the Pacific Ocean, most famously, the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador.

you know, i dated a girl who was really into watching out for these birds, seriously.  never quite understood why; they seem so hapless.  she always had an aversion to having the lights on when she showered, though.  the bird thing came after we dated...fwiw.  probably because her mom shipped her off to the galapagos and there's not a whole lot else to take pics of i guess.
