Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Thanks guys and gals, yes the job does suck!!!  but on the other hand I did get another bike out of this move.  waytogo The new 900 is a completely stock bike, but I did ride it on thursday around the neighborhood.  felt nice!!  Too bad its only a high of 38 today, but the bikes are in the basement awaiting for a little warmer weather.

And as for getting back to DFW as quick as possible that would be great!!  I could only wish I would have not made the choice I did.  I am kicking myself in the ass everyday!!!!!!  We will be back!!

Ron,

Where did they operate on you... as in which hospital in what town? Did you go to Taos or is there a facility in Angel Fire? I've been going up to our cabin in Ute Park since the mid 60s but I have always wondered about major medical care if someone needed it. I know Cimarron sucks (except for the Philmont Scout ranch), can't think of anything in Eagles Nest and I am not certain about Red River or Angel Fire. Just curious. You can answer after your meds kick in!! laughingdp waytogo

Fastwin,
The Angel Fire ski patrol first aid station has a decent facility at the base of the mountain. They were really busy when I got there about 3:00. They took one guy away on a backboard in an ambulance. No telling where to. They had prescription meds in stock too.

Ski patrol has a doc on staff. Xray machine pretty poor based on results of Dallas machine. I still can't believe the image difference. No break could be seen.

Went to Plano sports orthopedic practice based on family reference. Their trauma surgeon took my case. I think he operates in Plano area on Tuesday and Baylor Frisco hospital on Thursday. He happened to have an opening today so I jumped on it. This place is freakin nice. Doc said meals were best he'd had at a hospital and he was right. They talked me into staying overnight but leaving first thing in morning.

Brian, a good friend of mine fell into a river while skiing in Taos.  The hospital in town opened her up and set the hip, mended the ruptured spleen and lacerated liver, and found and removed an ovarian tumor.  She pulled through(16 yrs old helps).  Keep in mind this was 1985, things might be better now.
