Watching the last of the two cords of firewood I split burn up in the fireplace.

Do you have a splitter? I have been cutting downed oak all over the neighborhood yesterday and today and am in need of a splitter. I must have cut a cord already and more to go! People are asking me if I want some more wood.

Otherwise, threadwise, I'm watching the Olympics. Wow I wish I had the body and energy to do this again. I miss the slopes. It's hell being an old fart.

Looking at Apollo Ohno on ice is like looking at Stoner or Haga in the lead.

I rented it from AA Rental in Dallas $45 for 4 hours.

No one lost any branches around here. I guess we didn't get it as baqd as Ft. Worth.

Going to Cafe Lux for Valentine's Daylunch with my wife. Yum!

popcorn  I'm sitting here watching the Daytona 500 commercial race.  Wading through the one-hour pre-race show there were a dozen of the drivers in a studio doing these really animated explanations of the 2010 rule changes... Looked like an NFL films production; slick soundtrack, moody lighting, gravel-voiced voice-over.  But hey, I'm not complaining - since there is NOTHING else going on race-wise at the moment - I just think at some point the folks running the races need to own up to the "WWF of Motorsport" moniker.

Which makes me wonder if a NASCAR driver's contract has more pages devoted to sponsor appearances and the like than to the actual race driving part?

Need... more... coffee  bang head  laughingdp

I could only take about 20 minutes of...."And down the straight they come and into Turn one's sweeping left hand turn at 190 mph. They are now approaching Turn 2's awesome left-hand turn at speeds close to to 185 mph. And here they come again into Turn 3's left-hand turn. And another left hand turn...Argh!  bang head

Oh Lisa, how can you say that the France's (@trademarked namesake family image) NASCAR (@trademarked franchised organization name image) race is commercialized or over-advertised when Dale Earnhart Jr. (@trademark name) in the (@trademark) AMP Energy (@trademark slogan) Car (@trademark image) in his (@trademark interview photo) interview by (@trademark network image) ESPN is expected to do well?

I had a 1970 Opel GT in high school. It was kind of a UT orange color. What a piece of shit. vomit The paint was awful and faded like it was 30 years old! The final straw was when my Mom backed her big ass Coupe de Ville Caddy up on top of the Opel's hood! Angry She didn't see it in her rear view mirror. Grunt box piece of shit! But, it did get me a few dates with a cute girl who thought it was cool and looked like a mini Vette. waytogo Nice but still didn't improve the car's quality. It had a big lever on the counsole that you had to push forward to get the headlights to flip up when you wanted them on. That failed on a regular basis... bingo, night time and no headlights. I think the Germans were just getting even over that whole WWI and II thing. bang head
