I was so happy when he got the ride with Kawasaki but this year he's been terrible. As much as I like the guy (and he's an Aussie like me) I think he needs to go. He did so well in WSS but just not up to par in GP.

Thoughts?

He's so fired by Kawasaki... Hello Spies, Hayden or Melandri. Kawasaki really, really need a technical rider who can tell them what the bike needs, from what I've heard and read Ant West is a bit of a prima donna.

Maybe you missed this article http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2008/Kawasaki+West+needs+to+work+hard+to+justify+his+place+in+MotoGP

He's make the beast with two backsing D O N E.  And rightfully so.  He should never have gotten a GP contract in the first place, but Kawasaki isn't exactly known for their great signings.

it's probably just the bike.

Wink

actually a factory yamaha WSS ride wouldn't be such a bad thing at all.  pretend this GP business never happened...

West was doing OK last year and I thought he would just improve this year.  But he has been awful.  They need to toss him and maybe find a 250 guy.

I've read those articles. It's pretty bad when you get beaten by Spies & Hacking their first weekend out on a GP bike. Ah well, maybe there was a reason he was always on shitty bikes in 250s. WSS is the way to go it would seem.
