Does anyone have an interest in going to the Wheels of Italy meeting next week Sunday (August 24th)?

For those that don't know, I'll give you a break down:
What:  It is a meeting of all types of Italian motors (Ferrari, Lamborgini, Alfo Romeo, Maserati, MV Agusta, Aprillia, Ducati...).
When: Anytime from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on August 24th
Where: The Lake Calhoun Executive Center at 3033 Excelsior Blvd. (on the Northwest Corner of Lake Calhoun)
Why:  How often do you get to see Ferrari 250 SWB's next to a 1098R

Here is the link with a nice little video from last year.

Anyway, I am going and I wouldn't mind the company. waytogo

Same as other thread unfortunately. Race weekend.

This is a cool event. I put a bike in the show the first three years, and worked the event the fourth year (Monstergirl was the photographer that year) but now they seem to schedule it on race weekends. The guys that put the show on are Alpha Romeo owners. They are really cool guys. They came to a couple of our Italian Bike nights at Betty's.
I would go but...racing is priority. Grin

Ditto.  And Gabe's right - this is indeed a cool event.

Is there a pre-WOI rendezvous point?  Maybe some of us could meet up ahead of time and ride to Calhoun together?  We've done that in the past, and it's always fun to ride in as a group.  Evil

Should we meet at someplace easy (and close) like Bob's Java Hut?

what time are you guys talking about meeting up? I can go in the AM but have to be back to Andover around 2 or 3.

After checking my calendar, it'll be a stretch for me to be at WOI before Noon.  However, 2-3 hours is all that I can really spend at the event.  Most of the really cool cars (and bikes...) are leaving the lot by 3pm.

I am totally flexible, but I do like the idea of meeting up before hand.

How Does meeting at Bob's Java Hut around 12:15 sound?

I'm not exactly sure when I can make to WOI.  Roll Eyes  I guess I'll get there whenever I can...

Hope to see some of you!  The weather forecast is excellent, so the turnout should be big.   waytogo

I can't guarantee what time I'll be there but I'm going.  I'll swing by Bob's as close to noon as I can, probably closer to 12:30 or so, and see if there are any monsters.

I'll be on
<---- this bike but it now has stainless GPR hi-mounts.

Hey

It was a nice day for WOI!

Alan and Mo - it was good to see you guys.  Let's see if we can get an end-of-season group organized, now.

I used to take pictures, but the WOI people always have lots of cameras on the event.

Go to www.wheelsofitaly.com -- they'll have pictures posted in the next few days...   waytogo
