I don't know. My two dead ones are old racebikes. One has cracks in the frame and little usable bodywork. The other one is pretty twisted up from an ugly t-bone incident (not my fault) and the obligatory highside.

No good news yet. Still searching. I doubt I get anything figured till the end of the summer. Of course if the perfect bikes comes up I definitely won't pass it up but nothing is calling out to me yet.

They are not huge. They are up by the steering head. That project is not even on my radar screen right now. Thank you for the offer though  waytogo

Howdy Billy! Have you decided on the "perfect bike", or are you still contemplating?

Yo Scott,

Right now I am all over the place. I want one of everything. So many uses for so many bikes but 1 is peekin some interest. Gonna take a look at it.

Billy, I bet someone here in Dallas would be happy to go by SW SBKs and check it out saving you the long drive. Maybe me, B8, Scott/Randy,... ? Let us know. waytogo

Brian,

That would be appreciated, the sales guy gave me the whole some guy was supposed to come buy it line but i've heard that before. I hate buying a used bike from a dealer.

I'm not in a hurry but if anyone is in the area with some spare time this week and can swing by and take a look that would be great.

someone should go over there, commit to buy but don't sign anything, then at the very last moment, back out of the deal and then let billy swoop in on the down and out dealer and grab a steal

Billy,

Went to Moto Liberty yesterday and since SW SBKs is just south of Royal Lane from there I cruised by to take a look see at the '01 900 Monster Limited Edition. Spent no more than about 2-3 minutes looking at it. The purple metalflake tank that those bikes have looked pretty good. Didn't see any noticable scratches or dings. That paint actually does a pretty good job of disguising/camouflaging any defects but I didn't see anything that stood out. High mount carbon Termis looked good. Carbon front fender and seal cowl maybe the belly pan too, can't be certain. Pretty sure it had Michelin Power Sports, for sure the rear one. Can't remember the price but I'm sure you already know the price and mileage. Again, it looked OK nothing awful, weird or noticeable. Don't know their thoughts on test rides but a test ride is certainly a good way to flush out any hidden gremlins. PM me if you want anything else but again I wasn't looking at details just general condition.

Thanks Brian appreciate the feedback. Have a good idea on the price and there are good for giving me a test ride. Not real sure on the color, have to see it in person i think. I'll make it out there saturday for sure.

Thanks
