Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm not sure if I'm going to mess with the stock exhaust. The boomtubes are ceramic coated black from the head back. He told me they would be out sometime in December for the 696. I might just wait for that. Thanks for the pictures too.  waytogo

Black vinyl film made by LG. I got the idea from another post on here. It's like a hugh sticker that you have to stretch on the forks while keeping the wrinkles and bubbles out of it. It was kind of difficult to put on but it does make a big difference.

Hey Murdered,  Your bike looks really good!  Better than  bacon.  I'm doing something similar to mine, I'm wondering about how you got the vinyl on and where you got it?  Here's a pic of mine, in case you get bored and want to take a rattle can to those cans.

I found the vinyl online, but I didn't keep the web site. It's LG vinyl film. It's cheap. I think I paid $20 for a role of it. As far as putting it on. You just have to play with it. I had trouble the first 6 times I tried to put it on but I eventually got it. Good luck!

Anyone who's powder coated the cans- Did you do High-temp or regular?  I called the local powder coater and he said regular coat is good to 700 degrees and high-temp has inconsistent results.  I would assume regular coat would be fine, but thought I'd get some input first.  Thanks

understand the feeling. my bike isn't even licensed because i'm having issues with my ex over the kids.

you're a great dad for making the tough choices. don't worry, life will work itself around for those who do the right things at the right time. save yer pennies, you'll get another bike one day.

If I was making room for the M1100 I would keep my maintenance plan with the dealer and use it for the new bike. I have to unload it all. It comes with the bike.
