The rear will also improve flickability. It applies to both front and rear, but the percentage of weight shed in the rear is higher. Also, the rear suspension can work more efficiently.

Yeah I guess the package would be best.  $$.$$ issue right now as I'm trying to buy a nice garage (with an attached house).  I'll probably just be happy with the new front brakes for awhile.

So are the O2 eliminators, which everyone claims will cure the bike's woes...

You should be good the way it is right?  Not like the stock hoops are anywhere near as heavy as the boat anchors that came on the SC.

So, what will everyone do today?  Weather looks like it should be great all day.  I'm going to mow the lawn, then want to take the SD out later.  Need to get some more miles on it so I can try to get the break in servicing done on Tuesday...

Looks like you need to go get a job Gene.  That way you will be forced to set your riding schedule to ours.  Wink

It's not lack of work that keeps me away, it's other things like autox going on...fwiw, I rode on Wed & Fri, not as much fun when you're riding solo though...

I'm at the shop. Still have 3 more customer pick ups to go. A couple are bringing their cars in. I have managed to lube the chain on the 848 but haven't even got it all wiped off. Then I still have to remove the exhaust cans and work on the licence plate bracket. Oh, I have to install window switches in Gloria's SL and I'm getting the evil eye as I type. I'll be here a while but I want to get lost in V-twin howl later.

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Ok, sounds good.  I'm going to gas the SD up and go for a spin, but will swing by the shop after a while.  Want to get at least 125-150 miles on the bike today.
