Picked up a rather long wood screw in the Daytona's back tire coming home from work. Would that be superficial damage or is it tire replacement time ?

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori. Good people drink good beer. Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.
It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level. Everything else is just fluff.

Would that be superficial damage or is it tire replacement time ? Tire deflated completely. Luckily though I had purchased the tire and wheel replacement package when I got the bike. Called South Sea's today about it and they said they could plug it for me tomorrow, but I would rather have a new tire considering the way I ride that bike and the fact that I paid seven hundred for the protection... Update! I called South Seas again and they told me that they only meant to plug the tire to hold me over until the new tire came in, which should be by next weekend. I tell you what, the guys in Waipahu are light-years ahead of the Nimitz store when it comes to customer service!!

I like the customer satisfaction part. It makes a HUGE difference and is a major factor in my buying decision.

No kidding! They even offered to come pick up the bike from my garage tomorrow morning, but I am busy all morning. So they are going to come by on Monday afternoon to pick it up and plug my tire.

Cookies? Got the tire on the Daytona fixed yesterday. Too bad the guy who picked it up was nice enough to scratch the paint on the front wheel when he was lashing it down. Now we have to play the game of looking for, and hoping to find, the correct touch up colour.
