Dang, that's an eventful day!

On this end:  Picked up my wife at the airport (after 128 days out)

I assume that's an IT guy?  Maybe?  If so, you already have a list  of crap re: him?

Not like I've been all that active recently anyway  Undecided   I took the Monster on a quick run around the neighborhood last week, but I can really only handle short times right now.  Kinda makes group rides difficult.

Turned in my DEROS option rip.  I had originally thought that I was going to put in for an IPCOT down there, but being out here has given me ample time to rethink a lot of things, and decisions that I have/had made.  So, I am electing to maintain the current DEROS of May '10.  Now if Alex comes in, and things work out there, there is a chance that the time will get extended until 2012, but at that point I am pretty sure I will be leaving the Air Force...

Yea, the house is nice.  There is always a chance that we will have some extra time down there, but I wanted to leave the options open.  If/when Alex comes into the AF then I will have the chance to match my DEROS to hers which would take me out to my seperation date or 2012.

And yes, there was a very nice bonus if I would have re-enlisted down here.  I would have been getting about $60K tax free, but...  Let's just say that my eyes have been opened to a few things and I am not willing to continue with that sort of commitment right now.  Now mind you, I will always have the chance to change my mind later and re-enlist then, and that would net me an even larger bonus, possibly up to $90K if the figures stay the same as they are now.

I will hit ten years while I am down here, and be right at 13 at my current seperation date, but none of that matters much because I will most likely still be working in govvie channels if/when I get out, so I won't lose any of that time.
