It's not the dogs on Norfolk I worry about. It's the chickens!

No kidding!  I remember them always wanting to play...  chicken with us.

MD, remeber the stalling case?

Well, car owner, seems it a bit 'strapped' for cash and cannot come up with the whole amount, the remaining $500.00; he's offered me the car, pink slip on hand to me for me to sale  ... question, I found another MB diesel W124 300d no good bodywork but, engine and tranny 'still work' engine starts and tranny shifts gears ... guy wants $500 for it, with title, I get to call it 'salvage' in county ... whatchasay? shall I try the tranny swap and sell call running or get car, and sell as parts only? either way is gonna cost me $25 to get a savage title ...

What make/model car?

2005 Saab 9-2X Aero or in short, a WRX.

***
Managed to get it all sorted out.  Bad diagnostics by the shop.  Not sure if I spent the better part of the last month looking for the blower motor transistor since the shop said it was bad and the cause of the blower/AC not working and ditched the part, was an issue or not.  Replaced the transistor earlier in the week with no luck and then spent $35 on fuses and a fuse tester to find/replace a bad 15A fuse for the blower.  Fuse wasn't blown/broken when you looked at it but did test bad.

Now to get the radio working.   bang head

Here's a good article dissecting Rossi's year at Ducati.  A lot of frank answers....Rossi even gives credit to Stoner for his riding ability aboard the Ducati.  I hoped the writer would give a positive ending but he kept kicking the fallen horse...

Separately, this upcoming season is not looking good...Nicky Hayden fractured his scapula/ribs a few days ago and the new bike's laptimes aren't as competitive as Honda & Yamaha.

Tranny is different and I don't know if it would even bolt up. I once did a 240D engine swap where the engines out of the 123 body were only 1 year different. Turned out to be a SOB and I had to do lots of mods to get everything to fit and work. I'd sell for parts or find the right version of transmission/torque converter.

I thought the writer pretty much called it like it is. Hopefully with the relaxed testing rules they can sort things out faster this year.

I woke up to a surprise B-day breakfast in bed.  One of Teresa's students, serving as a Presidential aide, invited us to meet the President and First Lady prior to their island departure...I've never been star struck by anyone before, but I have to admit I was in awe!  The President was very personable and engaging and Mrs. Obama was very glamorous and equally warm.

So, I'm told to pick out another bike related item as my gift...any ideas?

I completely agree...I was just hoping for something positive for my make-belief-world!  I do like the expanded testing rule, now I wish MotoGP would increase the fuel cap on race day.  I'm sorry for quick drive-by today & not introducing you to Teresa...I was in a rush to change clothes and get to our dinner reservations.

No worries ---- Love to meet her some other time when we all have more time.  BTW, I'm about halfway through Fastest and am thoroughly enjoying it. So far it is far better than what all the so called pundits on this forum have made it out to be. Thanks!!

I thought it was great & informative, but it started dragging on at 3/4 way. I would have been more invigorated if I broke it down like you did instead of watching it in one sitting. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

who else has phantom burning smells on their bike?

when I was looking at whatever wiring I could find, nothing seemed melty, but it didn't necessarily smell like plastic/rubber burn, though
