I'm a tad bit slow but working through lots of small items and setting out to get through all the minor details ---

Four plus hours today to get to this

And then to this

The real fun starts tomorrow     popcorn

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

So by the Ducati factory specs my valves still pass clearances. One closer is a bit tight and one closer is a bit loose but they still pass and everything else is still good. The vertical belt loosened a bit down to 82 Hz.  Should be up at around 100 Hz to 110Hz but can be as low as 70Hz.

This means that most of the Closers will come right into the range I want ( 0.003" to 0.004" ) after installing the new collets. I can deal with the two outliers. Now I just have to measure all the openers and make sure I have enough modified opener shims to cover the redo. Of course I won't be able to measure those until next weekend so it might be the weekend after that before all the adjustments are good.

let's see... research luggage racks, get really fed up with cutting UHMW-PE, saw the hyper dude again, got a nod this time (was on my bike), I guess we share a stretch of the commute...

wrestle the queen, ordered some bling, new oil lines... that's about it.

Nuts. I thought it could be him from the description. Good that he's OK but that's two brand new bikes totaled and that has to be fiercely harsh.  Tongue
