Picked up the SF from SSD this afternoon.  Had them install the new Caswell coated tank and flush the cooling system...only time will tell whether or not I'll need another tank...

What....you don't want another new tank?!  I just viewed it as a way to get rid of the scratches on my tank on Ducati's dime :-)

My next one will be the smaller, less attractive, "class action settlement" tank... boo

Are you telling us that the new 2012 model, with all the updates, still has that hand numbing vibration in the bars & grips?

Yep...that wasn't one of the issues they managed to resolve.  You can still feel the buzzing vibrations through the right hand grip & right footpeg (depending on the shoe) when at WOT or high RPM.  The Rizomas bar-ends did a good job at muting the 1198's vibrations...the R&G should do the same.   So, who's planning on coming out to play on Sunday?!  :-)

I don't want to speak too soon as I'm just starting to feel better after my second bout with whatever it is I've got...

Depends on how much I get done on Saturday and what the weather is doing. SOUEST keeps calling for rain squalls and it pretty much did that all this morning. Hope it stays like it was this afternoon.

Short ride to the snake & back this morning, bike turned 20K miles on the way home.  Also stopped by SSD to thank Arlon for helping with my gas tank...1199 and 1199S on the showroom floor both with SOLD signs on the seat,  Bill says all nine of their allotment were presold...

I stopped by SSD too
Drooled over the 1199's!!!
Wow they are gorgeous....and appear so much smaller, than the 848 Tricolore that was parked beside
If my budget was close, I would have to have one
But it's not boo

Bill's entire allotment of 1199's were spoken for back in March when I picked up the S1000RR.  Definitely a sexy beast (the bike, not Bill).

I agree appears smaller...thru the tank, seat & tail area.
Boy, that thing is "SEX on wheels"....I love that rear end exhaust.
It sure wouldn't fit my riding needs, mostly commuting & we have no track here on Oahu....but just going get groceries on that Panagale would be awsome!!
