Went on a ride today and met someone with one of the 50th R1s.  Guy had the bike all dressed out with full Öhlins (Nix30s &TTX2), OZ wheels and a full Graves system.  Noticed a good two inches worth of chicken strips on his tires and asked if they were new for the season.  "Oh no, I bought those almost a year ago."   bang head

Money well spent!

I still miss my old BMW.  Not quite as much as I miss the S2000, but I miss it...

But you don't miss all the grief from the dealer service guys though.   Roll Eyes

Defrosted a refrigerator. Picked up doggie monthly meds. Replaced the rear brakes on Gloria's car. ( Jeez, I can't stand the whine.....  Grin )  Changed oil & filter on the 848 and would have flushed the clutch & front brake fluid except I forgot my bottles at home and, don't you know it, we didn't have any small cans/bottles at the shop.  bang head  Did some small paper work.  Heading home in a bit for a smoke & beer, etc.

Monday I took my SF in to SSD for another remapped ECU install...I know, I know, glutten for punishment.

Today I went for a ride to see what I had.  Pretty smooth down low in the rpm range for a big L-twin, smooth transition through 4k rpm followed by a nice strong pull to the redline...oh boy, am I a happy camper!...  GrinEvil  Been searching for this setup for 3 1/2 years and 24k+ miles.

Map and flow matched injectors are by Doug Lofgren.
