I thought about it but I thought you were supposed to get it when you initially purchase the bike.

I thought about it but I thought you were supposed to get it when you initially purchase the bike.

You can purchase an extended warranty up until your factory warranty is ready to expire, although I'd do it a bit earlier than that.  Talk to Erin the finance guy at South Seas...he quoted me about $1200 for three years for my F1098.

Arg, it would mean I would continue to have to get the bike serviced at South Seas.

When my bike had electrical issues, the dealership did possibly the laziest diagnosis job. I told them the error code and etc and they thought it was just a bad battery even when I told them that I had even tried test a new battery on the bike and it still wouldn't start.

I have a few months to think about it. But thank you pilot!

Unless you do it yourself you're kind of stuck with South Seas...

Someone told me that there is this mechanic in Kalihi named Ivan who has experience working with Ducati. I'll probably check him out after the warranty expires and let you guys know.

Went down to South Seas for the big "Slasher" sale and was disappointed that Madman Dan wasn't there...he usually is for the JN Automotive slasher events.

Not much inventory and the bikes on hand looked to be marked up ala Cycle City...2014 R1 MSRP $14,290 listed as $15,780 plus fees).

Also asked Bill about availability of the S1000R nekkid...no word as of yet.

Sold my very first item on eBay today.  It was a carbon fiber rear seat cover for the old 999. Yay! More stuff has to go for sure now.
