Short ride this morning to get the "service" indicator icon to trip, then washed the bike and lubed the chain.
500 mile service appointment at Cycle City tomorrow morning, should be interesting..

Well, when I purchased the bike the sales guy told me that a no valve adjustment service would run me about $400...kinda pricey for an oil change, chain adjustment if needed, coolant top off, clutch cable adjustment, check for leaks, etc...their labor rate is $120/hr, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out...

I kind of doubt it, Cycle City is the authorized Triumph dealer now so I imagine their service manager is in charge...

Took the Speedy in to Cycle City for the 500 mile service this morning.
All in all I'm very satisfied with the work...the oil level for the crankcase is spot on, there's no leakage around the oil filter and crankcase drain, mirrors/controls are as they were when I brought the bike in and it's clean. The only negative is that the tech neglected to reset the service indicator and I can live with that until I get it reset.
The cost was $236 plus tax and I provided my own oil*, so it was about a $300 service....a little pricey maybe, but I can live with that if they do the job correctly and don't break anything...
*note: they use a Kawasaki branded synthetic and they were not adverse to me providing my own oil so I brought in a four liter jug of Silkolene 4T Race 10w40 from SSD...when I picked up the bike they returned the Silkolene jug with the unused oil (maybe a half liter) without me asking for it, a plus in my book.
In conclusion, I rate them 4.5 stars out of 5...1/2 point off for not resetting the service indicator.

Good deal. Glad they took care of you.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Hit the road at 0530 and put 15.6 miles on the Seven Axiom. Not big miles by most peoples standards, and not by mine either but I haven't done that for a long while. My legs and butt are sure feeling it now. Did 3 laps over Tantalus in the afternoon, two of them with Brandon so that was good fun.

Cleaned the Speedy yesterday and adjusted the handlebars and controls again...having difficulty getting used to the bars, a bit more pullback than I'm used to...have tracking number for the SC-Project slip on...
