Now you just need a fender eliminator ( which is what I'm supposed to do on mine this coming weekend
)
Working on it...got three to choose from, two Evotechs and an R&G Racing. I had an R&G on the SF and liked it, but the one for the Speedy is almost two bills...

Gene,
Give me your thoughts, comparing your Speedy with the SF....now that you are a month in on the Triumph?

The Triumph is much smoother than the SF with better handling, so it is easier to ride and thus very confidence inspiring. That said, hustling the Duc up/down Tantalus at a decent clip was very satisfying because you had to work at it...plus you can't beat that spine tingling v-twin sound when you're really on it, better brakes also.
So six of one, half dozen of the other...except for me, at this point in time, the Speedy is more fun.

I understand the satisfaction of working a bike to be fast full well. Where I take it from there is that if you can go faster, brake harder & turn sharper without the same effort and end up going faster overall then that is even more fun than the satisfaction part. Unless you are a masochist at heart that is.

That is why I switched from my 1198 to the S1000RR. I felt nostalgic last month when I had an opportunity to ride a friend's 1198 at Thunderbolt...I enjoyed the session, but I looked forward to going back to my S1000RR for the rest of the day. I had the same lap times, but I definitely worked harder on the Duc.

Then just imagine what you would be doing if you stepped up your efforts on the RR.

Rode out to Ko Olina this morning to evaluate the new exhaust (baffle in)...
-sounds the 3-banger bidness now, less bassy/boomy than stock
-enhanced throttle response, revs quicker/more freely
-can definitely feel the weight loss...SC's website says 13 lbs, feels more like 20
-burbles like my '76 Honda CB750 with R.C. Engineering 4into1...
Things to do...
-adjust rear suspension for weight loss, feels a bit harsher now
-have the Arrow low system tune installed at Cycle City
-order a CF hugger to replace the homely looking stocker, which is much more visible now
