I currently have an appt for the fool tomorrow morning on Schofield, but the wife says I need to go to Navy housing first.  Ugh.

drove the newbie to an appt

Soon: drive the newbie's wife to Honololu to get a rental car from some cut-rate agency.

Do you get paid for that stuff or is it just for Brownie points?

Paid, in that I am always getting paid.  But no extra.

Brownie points?  Only in that nobody else wants to deal with him.

On another note;
It's Wednesday now. What's the continuing story with the front wheel?

Still working on it.  The guys at Motowheels think that the wheels were supposed to come with two spacers to situate the wheel in the forks correctly, and that BST did not include them in the packaging; nor were they included in the packaging of the three other Aprila/SC wheels that they had in stock.  I reminded them that there was no way including more spacers would fix the issue due to the factory fixed one (on the right side) being the size it is.  MW said that they think that one is supposed to be removed and use the two mystery spacers instead.  They have asked BST to ship the mystery spacers directly to me, and I just sent them an email to see what the status of this is.  I also said that I would be interested in having them take this wheel back and send me the one for the 916/monster (the one that requires the use of the 4p4p), but they are waiting on those wheels to clear customs...  Looks like I will might be on the Khyber Pass before this gets sorted...   bang head bang head

There's always the option of getting another stock axle & left side spacer. Then I could simply chuck them in a lathe and custom fit everything. That's very doable you know. Seriously.

Got the 4p4p calipers in the mail today.  Now maybe Motowheels will have THAT wheel in stock to send to me instead of this F'd up one...

I'm guessing never

New guest is a friend who lived here until August, but is back presenting a paper she wrote at a symposium of some sort.

Today: bought a car that will be sitting in a parking space in Makakilo for the foreseeable future.
