Well, gee.... getting a little jaded now huh?  Sounds like a pysch work up before a Craigslisting. That said, I can see a certain test ride headed your way this weekend....... maybe......  Grin

I'll take that thing for a spin, no problem.  Wink  Guess that means I will need to bring the Daytona out that day so we can hot-swap and then compare notes later.

And yes, I am game to turn some wrenches on Saturday if your parts come in.  What parts are you expecting this time?

Let's just say I have to do something about rear bounce. Even with the rear dialed on the "soft" side the concrete sections of H1 & H2 out by Pearl City/Waipahu/Waipio are just too frickin' much. I swear my head was smacking the top inside of my helmet. Maybe you should try it before the work is done and that may happen if certain exhaust header gaskets & nuts don't get here by Friday PM.

Well, I wouldn't have if Bill & Co weren't such douche bags.  The thing that is throwing me off at the moment is that I have gotten used to the SC again and it's power delivery.  Then I take the Daytona out and try to modulate the throttle in a similar fashion and am not happy with the result.  I just have to remember to keep the revs up higher, which means hitting the gear box more often.

It's kind of funny, in an ironic fashion, though that I ride the Daytona yesterday and find myself walking away from it with the same sort of "ho-hum" feelings that I used to have regarding the SC's handing before the front end swap.

I have been talking/emailing with Dan Kyle about modifying one or his/Ohlins steering damper mounts for the 848 so that it will work on the SC.  Once I can get that sorted I really think there might not be any turning back from selling the Trumpet.

On Monday, Tristan and Jen met Alex and I for a few cocktails and dinner out on the North Shore.  There were lots of chickens running around out at Breakers and we were all trying to seduce them to be our dinner.  Tristan was by far the most convincing...
