Not really.  I am selling a bike to replace it with another bike.

I meant that it was funny because of your high rate of turnover

1998 R1 (sold) 2009 848

« Reply #1193 on: October 15, 2009, 11:13:14 PM »

dropped my 848 off to get the 600 mile service, and suspension softened ( it was like riding on a brick). so I rode my GFs 696 to Alomoana today and then all the way to makaha. i hate to admit it but that thing is a really nice ride... comfortable and nimble and gets such better gas mileage... now i am wondering if  i made a mistake on the 848? should I have gotten the monster 1100 instead or maybe i should  get the 1100 as my daily driver... hrmmmmm what to do what to do ...  Huh?

All the Ducati's made the 1290SDR possible!

Got back to the Island.  Whew!  20*, snow & icy roads. Found out what it's like to lose the rear end and the front end of a Cadillac DeVille on a downhill curve. Good thing we were only going about 15 to 20 and had lots of room. ABS is a wonderful thing. That same morning 60 cars piled into each other on the freeway in the fog & ice.

Unless you had the rear shock swapped out you won't get much in the way of results.  You can make some small improvements but the whole character of the bike changes with the shock change. Try mine sometime and you'll see what I mean.
