i went to the bike show for teamgo808.com had a decent time. i met 2 guys with 1198s... well one was the pearl 1198 and the other was the red 1198s. i told them about this site so they should be checking it out later. and they were interested in the jamba juice rides.

Went to work, 8~5, no lunch since I was doing a road service; came home, had dinner, had a beer, sat down and started webbing around...

so, the guy who came to check out my bike is the same guy who checked out sam's stroodle (that mac saw riding in town)

he's nice enough... so now I've got to make up my mind tonight and let him know which side of the fence this is going to fall.

I thought it would be him making up his mind whether or not he wanted to buy it...

he asked me why I was selling it, so we had the talk.

he admitted that it was a tough choice, so even as much as he wants to buy it, he wanted me to be sure I was really going to sell...

Nothing special but came home to boxes full of goodies...the much needed fuel pump, this tasty set of clip-ons

this exhaust w/o the badge

and finally the belly pan...

the fuel pump and clip-ons will be installed by SS and the rest hopefully I can install Friday (if I get the bike back sometime this week)...I apologize for the ginourmous pix but couldn't figure out how to re-size...

Now I just gotta find some nice rearsets and maybe some fancy wheels (and hopefully DNA will warranty my tank) and I'll be set for a while...

Worked from 0130 - 0930, then came home, changed and took the SD to get it's break in servicing done.  Looked at a couple of Jeeps while I was waiting and then went over to Brent's for lunch.  Went and made Rick's neighbors a little mad after nourishment, and then made my way home via the scenic route.  Now I think I will try to stay awake long enough to try a Belgian rendition of a Scottish ale before passing out.

Oh yea, the SD sounds really wicked at aroud 8k rpm.   Evil

Found out that I still had to buy the $1200 fuel pump/flange assembly because the problem was in the flange and not the pump...now I have to wait for it to get here (all in all I believe I'm going to spend $2k in parts, labor, and the 7.5 mile service but such are the joys of owning a Ducati even if it's the cheapest model), on a better note the clip-ons were installed today and I'm hoping that DNA answers back soon, and I can get the tank while I wait for the pump to get here...and I was hoping to get to ride this weekend...
I think I might start craiglisting it up and see if I can find a screaming good deal.  I already convinced the wife that I should have a second bike just in case this happens again, since I refuse to ride her Kawi 250R even though it's the new/nicer bodystyle I still feel like a bear on a tricycle...

Wouldn't you know it, the O2 eliminators and oil change filter kit that I ordered for the SD get here just after the service was done.  Rick, want to play with KTM wiring this weekend?  Wink
