bf's going to ceramic coat my exhaust headers. would it be weird if i had him coat the actual cans?

Dropped off the Sport 1000 at SS yesterday for my tank swap.  They said they would call me when it was done.  Still waiting.....

Hopefully they just forgot to call me and tell me that it is finished rather than there being a problem!

my garage, although it's more like just for fun right now. bf made the oven and is doing powder and ceramic coating. he did some powder stuff and they came out good. but the ceramic stuff is liquid spray on, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out. right now we're looking at using tech line's black satin product. but we're still looking around for stuff to use.

I did some light research on the ceramic coating ---- it seems that after the spray on application it is supposed to go through a 600* (F or C ) baking process. Yes? No? Just curious.

I'd be interested in having some tailpipe can end caps done if that would be possible. Simple and small.

I'd be interested in having some tailpipe can end caps done if that would be possible. Simple and small.

the one that i'm looking at is supposed to be baked at 750. so far we got up to 700, i guess he used some glue for fiberglass that's only rated up to 650... and our garage is now filled w/ smoke. very stinky, chemically smoke. haha. but he thinks its any easy fix, just get the old glue out and put something rated higher.

i'm not sure how soon we'll be doing it. we still haven't decided which one to use. he said that it's a pregnant dog to get off so i need to make sure that the one i pick is the one that i really want.  but for you he said he'd do it for the cost of materials, by that i think he means the ceramic coating product.
