All the Ducati's made the 1290SDR possible!

im not really interested in either one but might test ride them both for something to do and to say that i did. i do want a second bike but  was thinking something more comfortable

The 999S would get your attention. The 749 would be slightly more comfortable than your 848 but doesn't turn as good and obviously has less power. Might be more happy in traffic but not by much.

Both felt more comfortable then the 848 and that is really what I am interested in. comfort and traffic friendly.not that either of these 2 bike would like the h1 at 5pm eva bound. But at least the 848 would not have to suffer it

You're really splitting hairs between the 848 and either of the earlier SBKs if you're looking for a commuter ride.  Plus, keep in mind that the maintenance intervals on the earlier SBKs are at six thousand vs seventy-five hundred miles.

You're better off trying to find a Monster if you want a commuter that's still a Ducati.  Or better yet, an MTS.

A sr4 is kind of what I had in mind or even a SC it's just those 2 old SBKs  caught my attention and the cyclops look is growing on me. And I'll be selling the 696 petty soon for Something with more power. Since the gf lost interest in riding. As for the MTS I really don't care for how it looks. I think I would rather have...(dare I say it) a diavel first. I guess ill just have to see how the next few months play out.

drkwmg ...

if you did see the diavel ... or whatever you feel like calling it ... up close, how does it actually look ... No more Ducati dealer down here so ... to see one, gotta travel to anywhere where Ducatis are sold ...

I like the look from the front and 2/3 side view ... but from the sides ... me no liky ...
