Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Got new air filters & some heat shielding in for the matrix.  Both to relace crumbly original foam parts.  Jammed it together Friday night on a whim and put 100+ miles on during the weekend.  I'm getting closer.  Still goes hot quick if I slow down so cooling system is the high priority.  Still waiting for the new relays, but that's not the problem.  Aftermarket temp switch is backorder and may not be available, ever.  When I get the time I'm gonna run it hot in the garage with the covers off so I can see what's going on with the fans.  Just learned the fans are controlled by the ECU which makes little sense to me.  Not hot = no fans, hot = fans.  Who needs the ECU for that?

Which is exactly why I ended installing a manual override switch for the fans on my 999. If you unplug the fan temp switch, or unplug the fans, and start the engine does a Check Engine MIL light appear?

BTW, I would still recommend getting the high efficiency fan blades from Motowheels.

We'll talk more later........
