They're $205 for a set locally.

Personally I wouldn't trust a set for $205.00.  That's so cheap it makes me think that they're seconds or some sort of QC reject.

$240-$250? ---- OK, then factor in shipping and mounting.  Got ours for $405.00, mounted, out the door, tax & everything.  I wouldn't complain too much.

I replaced a set of Dunlop D220 Sport Touring that had costed me $250.00 from a respectable vendor to a set of Michelin Power Pilots that costed $215.00 shipped, althougt, within the US ... shipping to me was another story ...

it's good so far... getting used to the height. although, I still haven't tried riding with my sidi boots yet (MUCH thinner sole). hopefully that won't be too tall for me

I tried one when I was in Miami a few weeks ago, it's a bit too tall for me, but, if I had the $$ I'd get the same one, same color scheme, black on black ...

the 1100 was completely too tall for me... the low seat on the 796 isn't so bad. feels like it sits a smidge higher than the old stroodle

Well as said, it was about 1" too tall for my feet to be flat on the floor ... but, I could do one flat foot and another on the bike ..

you get used to the one foot thing  Smiley

of course, I'd love to be able to flat foot both sides when sitting... but it's not the end of the world. we'll see how bad it is with those sidis lol
