All the Ducati's made the 1290SDR possible!

Tonight at about 6:15 - 6:30 I saw a white Hypermotard EVO turn off the Pali and onto the top of 13 turns and then thought I saw Majdi on his S1000RR come off Kam Hwy and follow the the Hyper down 13 turns. Saw them both at the bottom of the hill coming out of Maunawili and heading up the road towards Castle Hospital and Norfolk,  Dolph

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Oh, late Sunday afternoon I saw a black Streetfighter S strafing Norfolk. Sadly, the rider may have to live with the SF for a while as the 1198SP may be down for the count.  Cry
I'm intentionally not naming names. It wasn't his fault that the SP may be gone.

Nice observation skills!  I was trying to put miles on the bike before the 600mile service I scheduled for Wednesday.  I managed to ride 200 miles after work and caught a relaxing sunset at Sandy Beach before heading home.  I have to confess, seeing a Duc on the road still makes me smile.

Care to elaborate?  You know, without naming names of course.

A rider's nightmare.  You want to be a nice guy and you let your friend ride your bike. Then friend crashes the bike and totals it. Ouch.

Now the super tricky part. The part that no one talks about. I don't know that this is happening in this case so this is extremely hypothetical.  A big "What If?"  Assuming that the bike is insured but that like most insurance policies there is not enough money to bridge the gap between the loss payment and a new bike.  Now, who stands the jerk? Does the friend who crashed the bike belly up with the difference or does the owner get left holding the bag?

Again this is very hypothetical.  We used to say "you crash it, you bought it" or "Now your bike is my bike". Think about that before the next time you hand over keys.

Yikes!  That really sucks, and is just the reason why there are only a very few people I will let ride my bikes.

Did you notice that this subject is practically radioactive?   Grin  It can easily morph into larger subjects like who do you count on in a fight, etc.   Roll Eyes

On the freeway this morning near the Punchbowl exit, a red motorbike with an undertail exhaust and a relaxed riding position...a closer look reveals an R1100S with a rider wearing a familar helmet...lo and behold it's our fearless leader himself, MD... Grin
