And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.
Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

One came out to one of Emile's crew's rides a long time ago, before we started riding with Brandon, Craig, Lester and the rest of them. Rick and I talked to the guy for a bit, but I can't remember where hew as from. Might be the same bike.
They're a little pricey to maintain.

That guy was Don Lee, a Honolulu based architect. Haven't seen him for a long time. The bike Jing saw is from the Big Island and is fitted with sport adventure type tires because the guy doesn't always get to ride on primo highway. All the "R's" are pricey to maintain. All the way into the current models. Most of the people who are so hot for them don't seem to know that. As I recall those 996R models weren't even supposed to be set up for the street.

They were EU approved for on road use, but I don't recall ever seeing or hearing of one being DOT "legal" until we saw Don's.

On Nimitz today an HD xr-1200. WTF Is that? A freakish collection of parts that didn't even match each other. It looked new(ish) but also state-of-the-art 1960's technology. I've never seen one of these before so I'm not familiar with the lineage. Any thoughts?
At the stoplights the motor was shaking so hard the heads were a blur.

That's the one Harley I'd buy if I were to buy one. Then, of course, I 'd have to install all the Vance & Hines go fast parts. There is actually a dedicated AMA race series for those bikes. It's the closest thing to a street version of the old Harley XR750 race bikes, the flat trackers or road racers.
