Saw a really nice looking 944 SuperSport today on PH.  Bike was parked near the police station across the street from the fire station.  Stopped and looked at it; bike had officer decals on it.  Ever seen that thing around Teddy?

Looked a lot like this one: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.mikiel.net/Ducati/Images/Buttercup5.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.mikiel.net/Ducati/Ducati.html&h=300&w=288&sz=21&hl=en&start=52&um=1&tbnid=jT8VfmeXqLhWbM:&tbnh=116&tbnw=111&prev=/images%3Fq%3D944%2Bsupersport%26start%3D42%26ndsp%3D21%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den-us%26sa%3DN

Had several decals on it, including corse ones and grease monkey ones.

the ones I've seen, one was in pretty cherry condition, w/the corse checkered flag graphics, the other one, not too cherry looking, open clutch, ohlins sidecar damper, and hella loud!

If it's one of those two, I would say it's the former.  Need to leave the owner a note some day.  Is it there regularly?

Today a salesperson for AutoShopper, one of those free newspapers that advertises cars/bikes/whatever for sale, stopped by to try to sell us advertsing space.  Whilst thumbing through the current copy what do I see?

Out at South Seas Waipahu (because that's where we know this bike is and the photo was obviously shot in a showroom) there's the 2006 999S ------- bone stock --- 2,800 miles -- still under warranty (how much longer?) ---- selling for ------- remember now they have to add in tax and documentation fees ------ $17,500.00.

Maybe they'd trade a Daytona 675 straight across for a custom 999?

I checked KBB for the retail on the 999S ---- $16,090.00

Maybe, but I kind of doubt it.  Not when you consider how fast they go through those things.  Not only that, but I would be surprised if they had any left ATM, or if they would be able to get any more before the '09s come out.  But, there is supposed to be a slight cosmetic change on the '09 models.

Yesterday evening around 6:30 a red 1098 was pulling into the Burger King across from the Audi dealer on Beretania St.  I think that was the one that was getting some customer paint on the nose fairing and seat cowl when I saw it stripped down last month at the dealer. Didn't see the nose too clearly but the seat/tail cowl definitely had white number plates.

This morning I saw the pumpkin yellow gold Sport Classic waiting at the light by Castle Hospital, town bound. He passed me in lower Nuuanu. Boy that bike was quiet. Stock pipes.

Really?  A yellow classic with stock pipes?  I didn't think there was a yellow one here other than the one I saw out in Kailua, but it had Termi slip-ons.

Sucks that there are more than one of those here!
