That's what I thought. Would be good though for the long way around to Kona.

Hope the weather is good for you tomorrow.

Supposed to be sunny in the morning, just wondering what kind of test they'll let me do...the SF test ride was down to Lagoon Drive, up a couple of blocks, right on Aolele and back to the dealer...

Yup.  With Bill on his little scooter leading the way.

popcorn

Popcorn not needed for this report... Sad

Showed up around 9:15 and Bill had the yellow SF848 ready.  Showed him my license, signed the waiver, took in his warning about greasy tires and away we went...Lagoon Drive, Aolele Street, Paiea Street and back to the showroom, a total of less than 3 miles, yee haw!.

Conclusion:  The SF848 feels more nimble/agile than my SF and doesn't appear have the low rpm fueling issues.  Power seems frisky, not brutal like it's big brother...but then what can you tell on a round the block test ride.  The brakes don't have the power and feel of big brother either.  All in all, with a few basic mods it feels like it could be a fun ride.

Note:  I thought this bike was a leftover 2012 and that they would be anxious to make deal on it.  Wrong!...it's an early 2013 and they're asking full price, MSRP $13,250 plus fees, $15k+ out the door... Shocked

Thinking the yellow one was a 2012 model, that's what I was shooting for...however, Bill said they don't discount Ducs until they are at least a model year old...regardless of how must dust they have accumulated on the showroom floor... Huh?
