All in all, with a few basic mods it feels like it could be a fun ride.

That sums it up pretty nicely.

Bill said they don't discount Ducs until they are at least a model year old...regardless of how must dust they have accumulated on the showroom floor... Huh?

Go ask him how that Matt Fox deal worked out for him.   laughingdp laughingdp

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Was that yesterday (Sunday)?  I did not ride on Monday (9/2).  But must be a cool monster too.

Unfortunately there are no real Ducati groups, per se.  There are the three of us ( Fighter Pilot Gene. Sta Jing and myself, Rick-Mac, and occasionally Kary on his Streefighter that get together on Sunday mornings. Getting any other Duc riders together has proved to be like herding cats. The riding styles and abilities are too disparate to get everyone to gel at least for one ride a month.  We did that for almost a year one time but it started to fall apart quickly. Effete racer types don't mix with cruiser types or newbies. You are always welcome to go with our group and we try to mix it up a bit. Some cruise, some stealth and some quick stuff ( or what passes for quick to us anyway.   laughingdp )

MD is only running the Red/Silver R12S while the 848 is waiting in the wings.  Or, in the extreme present sense, waiting at the shop.   Roll Eyes

Yes, Sunday at that station just 1/4 up from Castle hospital.  I saw MD pushing his BMW up to the front pump...I recognized his red & silver stripes.  I thought it Sta just ahead of him....maybe it was FP...
