That R1200S may be temporary, or not? Haven't made up my mind totally, yet.  It's not tugging on my heart strings like I thought it would.

You need something orange.

Orange is not in abundance here, as you know...and who's gonna do warranty service if you bring in one from the mainland?... Kiss

Won't be under warranty if he buys wisely and gets a lately used one.

I was thinking SD1290, probably not many used ones around... Wink

Obviously not that price as I can buy Streetfighters all over the mainland and get them shipped here for less than that and have money left over for mods.

There may be a lower priced, higher mileage one available sometime this summer... Grin

Can't help you there bud.  Grin

If the 1200S goes then it'll be either a S1000RR, a SF1098 Streetfigher or the SD1290.  My boxer makes as much, or more, power than the SD990 although it's not quite the same hooligan handling wise.   Evil

You think?  I'll guarantee that boxxer doesn't spool up half as fast.

It depends on where you start the wind up.  Down low it's a bit lazy but get it up there a bit and it starts to take off pretty good.  I will admit that I prefer the sort of in your face all the time delivery of the SD & the SF.  The R1200 has a bit of a split personality and some folks really like that. You can be mellow or an animal. Your pick. You do have to work it a bit to get to the animal part though.

I wonder if that's the new owner or still the original guy that was trying for a sky high sale.

Saw that bike in downtown Kailua last week.  No chicken strips. He uses all of the tire.   Dolph

Saw Robert's SF at Cycle City...asking price is "a little over 13", and I assume that's plus fees... Shocked

Went down to CC to look at it. It was there but as I was getting back into the car a salesman came around the the corner with it to the parking lot & it wasn't in the line up when I went back down Kam Hwy. a little later.  Betcha it sold.
