Won't be under warranty if he buys wisely and gets a lately used one.

If the 1200S goes then it'll be either a S1000RR, a SF1098 Streetfigher or the SD1290.  My boxer makes as much, or more, power than the SD990 although it's not quite the same hooligan handling wise.   [evil]

It depends on where you start the wind up.  Down low it's a bit lazy but get it up there a bit and it starts to take off pretty good.  I will admit that I prefer the sort of in your face all the time delivery of the SD & the SF.  The R1200 has a bit of a split personality and some folks really like that. You can be mellow or an animal. Your pick. You do have to work it a bit to get to the animal part though.
