What's that?

Basically, this.

Ducati Desmosedici RR with Termignoni full system
Desmosedici Full Termignoni Race System@ JHP Ducati Coventry

Seriously.

Yep.  It's sitting out at Duc Pond right now.  Went by there yesterday to pick up the SC and drop off the SD.  The bike belongs to one of Donnie's customers (who subsequently also owns a 996R, a 998R, a 999R AND a 1098R) and was sitting pretty in the back.  Donnie let me hop on it for a sec and then fired the thing up for me.  All I could say was, GODDAMN!!

As I pondered over that post question I raised I thought it might be something like you mentioned. Damn, why didn't my awareness of cool things expand earlier in my life where I might have been more motivated to go out and get that kind of money?

BTW ----- When is Lars going to buy the SD??   laughingdp   And were you having done to the SC? As I think about it sometimes I'd suggest you put a Nichols lightweight flywheel in the thing!!  waytogo  You might not even think you need a slipper clutch then.

Well, Lars insists that he CANNOT have the SD.  He says it makes him too stupidererer.   laughingdp laughingdp

The SC was only getting new tires.  After talking with folks around here, Donnie is pretty much the only person that I trusted to mount tires onto the BSTs.  I called him a good bit in advance and he said that he was the only one in the shop that would touch the bike, as he didn't want to have to shell out the money to replace one of those things if one of his guys make the beast with two backsed 'em up.

My old 999 has been moved from South Seas to TLC in Kaneohe. Randy, from TLC, called me up to see if I wanted to buy it for $4,000.00.   Ho Ho Ho.   Maybe I should go back through the paperwork & see if can get the title again just for the fun of it.  I might go over there this weekend just to see him and the bike. That is if I don't have anything better to do.

Speaking of tires....... what did you have thrown on the SC and how do you like them?

Went with the same Pilot Powers.  Got a STOOPID deal on them from SportBikeTrackGear.  Something to the tune of $220 for both tires, shipped and installed, along with fresh grease on the head bearings.

Can't beat 'em by much. I've got about 6K on mine now and they look like they should have another 3 to 4K in them.....    I guess I don't ride that hard.

I'll probably go with the 2CT's next unless I get a STOOOPID deal on the Pures.  laughingdp

I was considered going with the Pures, but thought I only needed to replace the rear tire at first.  Pulled the trigger on the rear PP only to realize that the front would need replacing before long.  Oh well, I know the tires and got a great deal.  No complaints here.

Tonight I saw the guy that was selling the titanium tank / red frame Monster a couple of weeks ago on Craigslist or the guy that bought it. On Ward Ave. makai bound crossing S. King St. He was enjoying the Termi's.

a flock of ducs (all red) in the SSD service area parking, including a well used 999, a 1098 (Emile's), 2 1198s, and a Monster...and on the showroom floor, 3 Monsters with "sold" signs on the seats and 1 Hyper...that's it, no SBKs, 848s or SFs for sale...

Hate to tell you but Emile's bike would be one of the 1198s.  The 1098 must belong to someone else.
