you can get air without a leak out

How? Unless the fluid got hot enough to vaporize the humidity trapped in the fluid ( which old, shitty fluid can do if it got hot )

sometimes air gets in at the point where the res connects to the master, sucks air in around the o-ring. also have seen lines suck air without leaking and slaves as well.

So true. Jing's clutch fluid, if you can even call it fluid, was the nastiest shit to come out of a clutch in all of the Ducati clutch's that I have ever worked on. Halfway through the bleeding the lever pressure went totally to shit & I was worried that the master might have given up the ghost but 8 or 9 pumps later it came back to life and was super strong & positive. There are huge amounts to be said for maintenance bleeding.

Which, in a way, begs the question, What's happening with you & your bike?

Nope, I was in the Honda headed back to the house

I gotta get some free time to run down and see how long it'll take SSD to get the parts if I order from them. I could just order from Ducati Omaha, they have an online parts catalogue.......

retaining wire on rear sprocket carrier retaining nut broke/fell off/was removed by someone other than myself. Nut walked itself off the axle. On Tantalus. Glad I had a buddy with a truck.

After today's ride and not cleaned up yet. The stock version with ABS & high bars. Still  waytogo in it's own right.
