Something tells me I missed on a great ride...the weather looks amazing. We have family friends on the island that we have to entertain.  Unfortunately, I'll be busy w/ the upcoming exercise (RIMPAC) and will not likely have another wkend off until August!  Blah...

I can't make it out tomorrow, too many neglected chores to catch up on after my various ailments over the last few weeks... Sad

It was mostly damp in all directions in the morning, which we resulted to going west than north.  After north shore, Rick n I went thru tantalus, ended the ride on 13 turns with a little disappointment.  There was another big group of riders coming up while we were going down, that def killed it for me, n I think for Rick too.

Yep. It was pretty much dodge rain everywhere. I had some fun turns chasing Brandon but couldn't shake the odd intermittent weird feel from my tires. Usually I get that feeling if I'm hung over but didn't nearly consume the usual Saturday night beverages.  drink   At times it kept feeling like the tires didn't have enough pressure in them. Got home and checked. 33.5 in the front and 35.5 in the back. That should be OK. Maybe it's just time to dump those things even though there should be another 1,000 miles in them.  Roll Eyes

You thought the riders on 13 turns were bad. I think they moved over to the top of Norfolk and staged high speed runs through there for over an hour. Like I've always said , a few passes and aloha is OK. I can hear the really fast ones and I shake my head. I live a little vicariously there too. But repeated high, high speed runs, well........ that just makes me want to call  Police  I thnk doing 80+ through there is a bit much but I'm an old fart. For sure there some that are over 100.  Angry

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.
