I had to make an emergency run into town this morning. The Pali was nasty overcast and threatening but not raining. The road was shiny wet with water in the potholes to wet to damp in spots. Tantalus was raining but not looking serious. The Punchbowl / Vineyard on ramp - off ramp is pretty much shut down for repairs. Still, all in all, it looks like it is drying and might be OK.

O-Boy, does this sound familiar?
BY THE END OF THE WEEK...WE MAY SEE A SURGE IN TROPICAL MOISTURE
FROM THE SOUTHEAST THAT COULD BRING AN INCREASE IN SHOWERS AND MUGGY
CONDITIONS. EXTENDED MODELS OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS HAVE BEEN BACK
AND FORTH WITH TIMING AND HOW FAR NORTH TO BRING THE MOISTURE...SO
IT IS DIFFICULT TO NAIL DOWN SPECIFICS AT THIS POINT. HOWEVER...THEY
SEEM TO BE CONVERGING ON A SOLUTION THAT WOULD BRING AN INCREASE IN
TROPICAL MOISTURE TO BIG ISLAND LATE THURSDAY/FRIDAY...AND SPREAD
ACROSS THE REST OF THE STATE THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

This is confusing...... I was just on the Bimmerforums board and one of the guys there was saying he had to autocross last weekend, July 27 and because of that couldn't go to one of the cars & coffee events that happened Sunday.

On top of that now the weather service folks are saying that the expected rain should be here Friday night and Saturday with drier weather returning Sunday & Monday. Who knows? There is also a chance that I will be corralled into yard work Sunday.

That was for a Test N Tune, I skipped that to ride since I really haven't made any changes to my car since last season.
I could have used the seat time though, since I'm struggling to be competitive in the Subaru...turbo lag, not so stellar brakes, AWD, less than responsive steering, etc., make it a much harder car to drive than my M3 was...although I have cured most of the excessive body roll.
I'm much better on a two wheeler these days...

Or you could ride your bicycle.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.
